Logitech
Most video bars or all-in-one systems are designed to capture a small or medium conference room.
Built-in cameras can struggle to pick up participants in the back of the room, and audio proves even more difficult to effectively capture, to say nothing of irregular floor plans.
Readers researching Logitech Rally Bar product info and reviews may find that Logitech’s Rally Plus is better suited for larger, non-standard rooms, with a dedicated PTZ camera, two speaker bars, and two Rally Mic Pods.
With discrete components and expandability up to seven Rally Mic Pods, the Rally Plus provides flexibility in terms of placement to create an immersive video conferencing experience in large rooms. Ultimately, the Rally Plus is a step in the direction of a custom system, without (all of) the associated complexity or costs.

Huddle spaces shouldn’t be literal! Choosing the right audio-visual equipment for conference room use in huddle spaces means three or four colleagues shouldn’t have to crouch around a laptop and rely on its built-in webcam, microphone, and speakers.
These smaller rooms also do not need the pan-tilt-zoom camera and optical zoom designed to capture larger spaces.
The Rally Bar Huddle provides the simplicity of an all-in-one hardware solution, tailored to a smaller gathering. With a BYOD mode, USB mode, and even Appliance mode (with a Tap or Tap IP for control), the Rally Bar Huddle is able to bring the benefits of Logitech’s CollabOS to a more modest set of built-in components.
For organizations seeking audio-visual equipment for conference room use, the Rally Bar Huddle provides essential collaboration features without the added cost of the higher-performance audio and video required in larger rooms.

Our team was excited to get a Logitech Rally Board 65 on display in the Profound Technologies Experience Center.
Touch screens, smart boards, and large flat-panel displays had been absent from Logitech’s video conferencing assortment until the Rally Board 65 combined all three with familiar Rally Bar features in a portable conference room solution.
We tested out Logitech’s true all-in-one video board to see where it excels, what its blind spots are, and how it compares with similar audio and visual equipment designed for conference rooms.

Dynamic content on vibrant video walls in your spaces can transform a boring wall into an exciting way to deliver your message to customers, staff, and guests! Microphones
Microphones come in many shapes, sizes, and use cases. As a core part of conference audio-visual equipment, the correct microphone should be selected based on the room design and furniture. For example, if you need a conference room mic but have a glass table, a ceiling microphone array may be more suitable than table microphones. Here are some common products and options that we use.

Logitech Rally Mic Pod
Shure MXA310
Details
Logitech
The Rally Mic Pod is an add-on microphone used to expand audio coverage for the Rally Plus, Rally Bar, and Rally Bar Mini by using its modular, beamforming microphones with RightSound technology. Some of its capabilities include: Auto-leveling voices, suppressing background noise, and dampening vibration for clear audio. It has a physical button for convenient mute control and indicator light.

Shure
At its core, the Shure MXA920W-S is an ambitious and flexible microphone array.
The keyword is “array,” because the Shure MXA920 ceiling array microphone is an alternative to having multiple microphones.
Its eight lobes can cover a space automatically, or be fine-tuned to pick up specific seating configurations.
Since the MXA920W-S is the size and shape of a ceiling tile, it is also less conspicuous than multiple pendant or puck microphones.
On the other hand, ceiling layouts or larger rooms may require more than one MXA920, which could become cost-prohibitive, while smaller rooms could potentially be covered by all-in-one video bar solutions.
Ultimately, this review will show that the Shure MXA920 excels in use cases that benefit from its form factor and customizable coverage.

Neat Bar Pro
Covering larger spaces is inherently challenging with a video bar’s form factor. Built-in cameras have size limitations and are inflexible with positioning. Speakers and microphones in a video bar strain to hear and be heard by people at the head of the table. “All in one” tends to point away from expanding on any of these features. With the Neat Bar Pro, however, Neat tests all of these assumptions, using an ultra-high megapixel camera to address concerns over digital zoom and a sophisticated array of microphones to pick up voices up to 30 feet away. We reviewed the Neat Bar Pro bundled with a Neat Pad, as a complete Zoom Rooms solution.
